Angelica Sinensis, commonly known as dong quai or “female ginseng” is a herb indigenous to China. It is one of the most commonly used herbs in traditional Chinese medicine and it is utilized for treating many different ailments, especially in women with premenstrual syndrome. The plant grows in cool high altitude mountains in China, Japan and Korea.
