The kaffir leaves have a pleasantly lemony discreet smell, slightly sweet and sour taste at the same time and bring to mind the aroma of the well-known louiza. They grow from a citrus, have a large wide shape, have a green color and look like bay leaves. They find uses in recipes of Thai, Chinese and African cuisine, offering a fragrant, in risotto, mainly in fish and poultry soup dishes.

In which recipes are kaffir leaves used?

Kaffir leaves are suitable for cocktails and syrups. They flavor stir fries, rice, chicken soups, fish soups, poultry and fish sauces. We remove them at the end of cooking.
