The handmade vegetable trahana is made from durum wheat semolina after its fermentation with dehydrated vegetables: tomato, onion, leek, carrot, spinach, beetroot, and dried under natural conditions. It is an ideal dish for the fasting period as well as for vegetarians.

Trahana is a favored winter dish that can be prepared in many ways. When we say trahana, the image of a warm, creamy soup usually comes to mind. However, you can prepare many other delicious meals for you and your family with trahana: add 2-3 tablespoons to a vegetable pie, substitute it in all recipes containing rice, pair it with smoked and spicy spices, mushrooms, cheese, or slices of sausage.
