Tandoori mix is a mixture of spices in powder form with golden yellow color, with rich texture, spicy, warm taste and strong smell with the aroma of cumin and garlic prevailing. This mixture is used in the well-known and classic Indian recipes chicken or tandoori meat. First a marinade is made with the mixture in yogurt and then it is spread on the chicken before it is baked in the oven. Ideally, the chicken should stay in its marinade for a few hours.
The term tandoor in Asian cuisine, refers to a way of cooking, it is essentially marinated meat cooked in a clay oven.
