Schweden Bitter is an infusion of 16 herbs in alcohol. This produces a sweet and pleasantly aromatic drink. Its recipe was formulated in 1536 by Parakelsos, the great alchemist of the Renaissance and father of modern medicine. Try it plain or diluted in water or tea.
