Greek parboiled rice comes from a long-grain variety of rice which after collection is boiled to peel and thus acquires its yellowish color. The yellow rice becomes very spiky and we use it to make pilaf. It mainly accompanies other meals but can also be cooked as a main meal. Used by cuisines around the world: Thai, Greek, Indian, Asian, Chinese, Mexican. The classic way of cooking is very easy, all you need is a little water and salt and if you want to give it a sweet, spicy, smoky taste, use the appropriate spices.

With the yellow parboiled rice we make pilaf and accompany all the meats, burgers, poultry, meatballs, sausages, we make fried rice, we mix it with fresh vegetables, legumes, bacon and we flavor it with spices like curry and star anise, saffron or hot spices. Use it even on stuffed tomatoes and peppers when you want a spiral texture on them.
