Agave is a cactus native to Mexico. Its syrup is obtained after processing its leaves and finds uses in cooking and confectionery as a sweetener. It has a blond color, a fluid form and a mild, delicate, warm sweet taste without diminishing. In recipes it can be used such as honey, maple syrup, molasses and sugar.


In which recipes is agave syrup used?

Use agave syrup in all recipes that you would use honey. Make a hearty tithe with yogurt, add nuts, seeds, fruits and drizzle with agave syrup. Make homemade juices such as lemonades and add agave syrup instead of sugar as well as cocktails. Make homemade barbecue sauces, red and sweet and sour.

Pour the agave syrup over pancakes, waffles, ice creams, creams, sweet puddings, donuts and add it to the cereal muesli or make granola. Use agave syrup in cocktails, drinks, smoothies, tea drinks, milks. Use it to make meat marinades, dressings for green salads.
