Basmati rice comes from a long grain variety of rice and has a nice special aroma. The basmati is sticky, white, delicious, aromatic and becomes very spiral and we use it to make pilaf with oriental notes. It mainly accompanies other dishes but can also be cooked as a main meal or added to salads. It is used by all the cuisines of the world but mainly by the Chinese, Arabic and Indian. Soak it to bring out its aroma more before you boil it.


In which recipes is basmati rice used?

With basmati rice we make aromatic pilafs to accompany all meats, burgers, poultry, meatballs, sausages. Make risotto, fried rice, chickpea rice. Add curry, Indian, spice mixes, turmeric, nuts.


Basmati rice accompanies excellent vegeterian recipes: vegetable burgers, falafel, meatballs with legumes. If you like spicy flavors, make hot sauces or sprinkle with spicy spices. Mix the wild black rice, mushrooms, vegetables or shrimp, caramelized onions, tuna and sprinkle with soy sauce. Make basmati rice with minced meat or kebab pilaf.
