Pepper fruit is harvested from pepper tree, a climbing plant, reaching up to 5 meters in height and giving large bunches with small round fruits. The amazing thing is that the species of pepper that we know come from the same fruit.

Green pepper comes from the fruit of the plant harvested before they ripen, when they are still green, a colour that they maintain after suitable treatment. Green pepper is fragrant, wrinkled in appearance and has a slightly spicy taste.

Black pepper is produced from the still green fruit of the pepper plant harvested before they ripen. Next they are baked or dried in the sun when they shrink, become black in colour and acquire wrinkled appearance and slightly hot taste.

White pepper consists of the ripe fruit of the pepper plant. Their treatment includes soaking in water, rubbing till their red skin is removed and finally drying.

Green pepper is one of the most famous spices in the world; it is widely used in all cuisines and its use gives life to dishes, making them more delicious. Green pepper can be easily added either during cooking or on the plate. Sprinkle the powder on the food or grind the grains in your mill when you need them, to enjoy its taste and aromatic intensity.
