Belunga is a variety of black lentils, which is due to the high percentage of certain antioxidants they contain. They are delicious, do not need soaking and boil quickly without cracking. Nutritious food for all seasons. In winter we make hot steamed soups and in summer cool salads with seasonal vegetables, they are filling as they are cooked. Ideal food for fasting and for vegans.


How to cook Belunga lentils

Use Belunga lentils to make seasonal vegetable salads, make dressings with mustard or lemon oil and add tarragon, cherry tomatoes, parsley, capers, carrots, cucumbers, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, peppers, and serve with feta cheese or mint tomato juice or add rice or cook them with sweet potatoes. Make burgers or crackers or include them in the taco filling.
