Fava Flour
Cost per kilo 3,60 €

We ground it in our own fava mills and turned it into flour to use in cooking and pastry recipes. The fava flour, resulting from its crushing, has an ocher color, mild aroma, heavy and dense texture and finds uses in vegan recipes mainly (eg burgers and meatballs). Do not think that you can replace it with all-purpose flour in your recipes, it does not behave like this. It is ideal to mix it with other flours.

In which recipes is fava flour used?

Use fava flour in your meals e.g. in soups, but also mix it with other flours and make: omelette, lentil crackers, meatballs, vegan burgers, cookies, breads, muffins and sauces.

How to properly store fava flour

To preserve beans properly, it is important to store fava flour in a dark, cool place. When it comes in contact with high temperatures it is in danger of developing microorganisms (bugs). Place it in airtight containers so that it is not affected by the smells of other foods. Flour is delicate and must be stored in the refrigerator during the summer. Avoid storing them on shelves near the absorber as water vapor will damage them.
