We ground lentils in our own mills and turned them into flour to use in cooking and pastry recipes. In other words, lentil flour results from the crushing of the husked lentil seeds, has an ocher color, mild aroma, heavy and dense texture and taste of legumes. Lentil flour as well as all legume flours, find uses in vegan recipes mainly (eg burgers and meatballs).

Why have to use lentil flour?

Its gluten-free and also an ideal way to make delicious dishes, even sweets. Lentil flour can be used in several recipes and you can eat legumes without realizing it, if its difficult for you to eat them.

Do not think that you can replace it with all-purpose flour in your recipes, it does not behave like this and no other gluten-free flour. For your culinary creations to be successful, it is ideal to mix it with other flours and follow recipes with it.

In which recipes is lentil flour used?

Use lentil flour in your meals e.g. in soups, but also mix it with other flours and make gluten-free recipes: omelette, lentil crusts, meatballs, vegan burgers, cookies, breads, muffins, and sauces.

How to store lentil flour properly.

In order for lentil flour to be properly preserved it is important to store it in a dark and cool place. When it comes in contact with high temperatures it is in danger of developing microorganisms (bugs). Place it in airtight containers so that it is not affected by the smells of other foods. Flour is delicate and must be stored in the refrigerator during the summer.
