Almond Flour

The almond flour is obtained after grinding the almonds until they become a fine powder. Gluten-free flour, suitable for sweet gastronomic creations.

The almond flour is off-white, thin in texture with a slightly sweet taste. Experiment with your first recipes because due to the absence of gluten in the almonds, the resulting dough has no consistency. This means that it will be more fluid, we can not easily knead it with our hands, whatever we make, it will not swell, it will not become bulky as we would expect. Add other flours (as flaxseed flour) to "bind" the dough

Do not replace almond flour with wheat flour, for example. To make successful culinary creations, you need to find recipes with it, because it reacts differently compared to the other flours we know. Keep in mind that almond flour dishes burn easily! They give the impression that they need more baking, they look raw, but they do not need to stay in the oven because they burn very easily. Follow reverently good tried and tested recipes.

In which recipes do we use almond flour

The slightly sweet taste of almond flour offers a sweetness in the recipes and we consider it to be ideal for gluten-free sweets. Make cookies, pancakes, crackers, waffles, brownies, cinnamon rolls, macaroons, chocolate bars, apple pie.

We suggest adding seeds to your pastry doughs, such as flaxseed, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, sesame seeds, nuts, mastic or carob flour.
